Dear Fellow Democrat:

On January 22, 2009, I had the privilege of being elected Chairman of the Bergen County Democratic Organization. I thank all of you that participated in our democratic process. For those of you that did not participate, I ask that you consider the great challenges our communities face today and how imperative it is that we meet those challenges with unity and grace.

The responsibility that has been entrusted with me is only viable if we come together not only to win elections, but win them with the clear purpose of executing our Democratic platform for a better tomorrow. Our party has always stood for the principal freedom that individuals may aspire to anything they chose regardless of race, religion, personal lifestyle or culture. Democrats also stand strong for education, labor, immigration, balanced budgets and offering a helping hand for those in need. And let us not forget that we Democrats in Bergen County are the first line of defense for these Democratic ideas in New Jersey. If Bergen County votes Democratic so goes Trenton and it must go Democratic this November, now more than ever in our lifetimes.

Our first opportunity to come together to demostrate our resolve and unity will be on the morning of February 11th we we host a breakfast reception in honor of Governor Corzine. You will receive your detailed invitation under separate cover shortly. We have scheduled it to accommodate as many of our elected officials as possible and look forward to the full compliment of our slate to be present. It is my hope that each and every one of you will make your best effort to join us knowing that power in numbers in critical to our political success. The Governor is anxious to meet with us and hear what we have to say, let us step up as one.

May I also assure you that the programs outlined during my candidacy will be implemented. These programs include, but are not limited to, mandatory ethics training for all BCDO committee members and employees, the posting of our By-laws and membership on our website, a full audit of our organization's finances and the ground rules for an open and interactice convention scheduled for February 26th.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to communicating and engaging all of you as we confront the many issues that only we as Democrats can fairly resolve.
